Crews Responding to Flood Damage

Crews continue to assess damage and restore power where possible after the floods. As water recedes, soils remain saturated and inaccessible. Beyond the flooding, landslides and road washouts have made parts of our territory inaccessible.

After working through the weekend and Monday, the outage numbers are as follows:

  • Bingham Road/Umatilla River – 35
  • Walla Walla River – 8
  • Nolin Grade/South of Echo – 6
  • Hermiston Area – 2

Crews continue to work in accessible areas along the Umatilla River and Bingham Road, as well as the damaged line at Nolin, south of Echo. Walla Walla River members who remain out will be out indefinitely or until services become accessible and/or habitable. We will call those members personally to establish expectations and priorities, as necessary.

For the services that are not accessible, we’re working on plans to build temporary lines back to them from another point and/or will be working with those members to get service back as soon as feasible. We are looking at all options to get power back to them once their services are accessible and/or habitable again.

Thank you for your patience and perseverance! Please call (888) 465-5701 day or night to report an outage or other concern.
