The UEC Electrical Engineering Scholarship Program is designed to encourage college students who have completed their freshman year to pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering-Power Systems.
To apply online, you must complete the required criteria and the scholarship application online. Applications must be completed by March 1 each year. The applicant is responsible for submitting all necessary information to apply for a scholarship.
The Umatilla Electric Cooperative Scholarship Program will award one $5,000 scholarship each year. The scholarships must be used for educational costs, and the student must enter college as a sophomore or above in the fall of the school year for which the scholarship is given.
The applicant must be a student who has completed their freshman year in college and is pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering – Power Systems at an accredited four-year college or university. The applicant must be from Umatilla or Morrow County.
Awards are based on academic excellence, work experience, and participation in school and community activities.
Except for the requirements outlined above and a requirement to attend the UEC Annual Meeting during the year of scholarship award, no obligations will be imposed upon the student as a scholarship award winner. Other than payment of the scholarship, no obligations or liability are assumed by Umatilla Electric Cooperative.
