For over forty years, Umatilla Electric’s headquarters office has remained in the same location on Elm Avenue in Hermiston. Over time, our cooperative has seen many changes and considerable growth.

Powering Up Your Cooperative Experience
After many years of significant growth, UEC has reached capacity for staff at the Elm Avenue location in Hermiston. Since 2018, UEC has added over 40 employees to support the operations of the cooperative’s membership. In order to support projected continued growth, the UEC Board of Directors reviewed and considered options for adding staff capacity.
UEC’s Commitment to Our Membership
For member and employee safety, UEC is implementing new features to improve the member experience.
A new lobby entrance and relocated drive-thru will allow members to complete their account changes with ease and the additional office space allows for up to 50% more desk space for employees.
Benefits and Value Carefully Considered
During the construction stage, reduced traffic speeds and possible congestion may occur in the area.
Construction will occur behind fencing in an active construction zone. Members will not have access to the building at all until the expansion is complete. Service to members will not change, as a temporary lobby office will be installed soon.
