UEC Hires McMeen for Finance Manager Role

July 20, 2017

Illinois native Lisa McMeen has joined Umatilla Electric Cooperative as Manager of Finance and Accounting.

McMeen most recently worked as controller at New-Mac Electric Cooperative, which serves 17,000 homes, farms and businesses in the southwest corner of Missouri.

She previously worked as Manager of Financial Services at Northeast Oklahoma Electric Cooperative, Vinita, Okla., and earlier worked as Chief Financial Officer at Wayne-White Counties Electric Cooperative in her hometown of Fairfield, Ill.

McMeen has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Southern Illinois University. She and husband Doug have two daughters: Morgan, a high school biology teacher in southern Illinois; and Hannah, pursuing a nursing degree at Missouri Southern State University.

With 25 years of experience in rural electric cooperatives, she looks forward to the challenge this position brings. In the community and at UEC, “I’ve found people to be so welcoming,” she says.
