Why Build a New Switchyard?
UEC needed to invest in new infrastructure to meet the increased need of the rapidly growing region. The Rockpile Switchyard ensures continued, reliable electric service for UEC industrial members between Hermiston and Umatilla. This project enables future operational and maintenance flexibility for our crews.
