Umatilla Electric leased office on Hurlburt Avenue in Hermiston — 1938 to 1955: Umatilla Electric leased office and yard space from the Hermiston Irrigation District on Hurlburt Avenue in Hermiston

Historic Umatilla Electric Cooperative office building — 1955 to 1980: A 7,600 square foot building is built on McNary Heights Highway, now Highway 395. The building was renovated in 1975 to expand to a total of 13,300 square feet.

Umatilla Electric Cooperative office building — 1980 to Present: The current headquarters office was built in 1980, serving our members for forty years. Since 1980, our power sales have increased significantly and with it, members of the UEC team.

What's Next?

For over forty years, Umatilla Electric’s headquarters office has remained in the same location on Elm Avenue in Hermiston. Over time, our cooperative has seen many changes and considerable growth. As the needs of our members have grown, we’ve added to our team to ensure our cooperative is taken care of. With these added staff, space has become extremely tight in the current facility.

Your Board of Directors is committed to investing in our current campus location - ensuring we remain in the heart of our service territory. Our team is reviewing plans to better use the existing facility and potentially expand our office, creating the needed space to best serve our members.
