UEC Helps Save Up to 63 Lives through Employee Blood Drive

Twenty-one participants generously donated blood at a blood drive sponsored by Umatilla Electric Cooperative on Mar. 15. The blood drive took place at the cooperative’s headquarters and exceeded the American Red Cross’ goal for the event. The donations accepted at the event have the potential to save up to 63 lives.

“We are so proud to partner with the American Red Cross to host these blood drives,” says Weston Putman, Manager of Public Relations for UEC, “we are thrilled to offer a convenient location for our employees and community members to donate for such an important cause.”

Heather Farnworth, Account Manager for the American Red Cross considered the event a success and shared, “We are here to save lives, but also to provide a great donor and sponsor experience.”
