In celebration of National Agriculture Day earlier this week, local irrigators gathered on March 24 at Umatilla Electric Cooperative's (UEC) Headquarters Facility in Hermiston. At the meeting, UEC irrigation members heard updates from staff and leadership on recent initiatives at the co-op.
The meeting included discussion of energy efficiency projects, infrastructure upgrades, and a finance update. In addition, the group heard Legislative updates from UEC’s Government Relations Manager, Alec Shebiel.
“We look forward to bringing our irrigation members together each year and find new ways to support them,” says Tami Sinor, key account representative for UEC. “Over time, the enhancements to our system have significantly improved the service we provide to the irrigation community."
Members present engaged in discussions with the UEC Executive Team, receiving answers to various questions about the cooperative.
