Do you have plans this August? Well, mark your calendars because fair and rodeo season is here!
Umatilla Electric Cooperative (UEC) is excited to once again support two of Eastern Oregon’s most anticipated summer traditions, the Umatilla County Fair and the Farm-City Pro Rodeo.
From thrilling rodeo action and live entertainment to livestock exhibits, delicious fair food, and opportunities to reconnect with friends and neighbors, these events bring together everything that makes our communities special. They celebrate the hardworking agricultural heritage, strong family values, and community spirit that continue to shape the region we proudly serve.
The excitement officially begins on Saturday, Aug. 8, when members of the UEC team participate in the Umatilla County Fair Parade in downtown Hermiston. Our team will be riding along the parade route in one of our line trucks, while employees greet community members, hand out candy, and help kick off another memorable fair season.
The Umatilla County Fair and Farm-City Pro Rodeo will take place Aug. 12-15 at the Eastern Oregon Trade and Event Center (EOTEC) in Hermiston. Whether you're cheering from the grandstands, exploring exhibits, supporting local youth, or enjoying the entertainment, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Looking ahead, the fun continues Aug. 20-23 at the Morrow County Fair and the Oregon Trail Pro Rodeo in Heppner will take place Aug. 27-30. We hope to see many of our members there as we celebrate another great tradition in the communities we serve.
