Umatilla Electric Cooperative (UEC) is pleased to announce the promotion of Megan Stratman to the role of Power Supply and Transmission Services Manager.

Megan joined UEC in 2023, bringing nearly two decades of experience in the energy industry. She is widely recognized as a regional expert in Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) rates and contracts, wholesale power supply, and regional electricity markets. Since joining UEC, Megan has made significant contributions to the Power Supply department and has successfully led the cooperative’s environmental compliance efforts with the state of Oregon.

In 2025, Megan was honored with the Public Power Council’s Hero Contributor Award in recognition of her outstanding collaboration with electric cooperatives across the region.

In her new role, Megan will oversee UEC’s wholesale power supply contracts and transmission service agreements, including those with the Bonneville Power Administration and non-federal counterparties. She will continue to manage compliance with Oregon’s environmental policy requirements, including the Renewable Portfolio Standard, greenhouse gas reporting and verification, and the Clean Fuels Program.

Additionally, Megan will play a key role in representing UEC members’ interests in industry forums, including BPA workshops and rate cases, regional trade associations, and market organizations.

UEC congratulates Megan on this well-deserved promotion and looks forward to her continued leadership and expertise in advancing the cooperative’s mission.
