Please join us in congratulating Chris Dirkes, UEC’s Quarter 3 Employee of the Quarter!On a 90-degree day near the Columbia River, a UEC crew was hard at work setting a pole when Apprentice Lineman, Chris Dirkes, noticed something unusual - a horse lying down in a nearby pasture. Chris quickly realized the horse was tangled in wire and stuck to the fence. Thanks to his awareness and compassion, the crew came together to free the animal, call for help, and ensure it was safe before returning to the job site.
Chris’ actions reflect his care and dedication that extend beyond the job site, and make him a valuable member of both the UEC team and our community. Congrats, Chris!
