Job Description

The Line Equipment Operator position assists members of the line crew with construction, maintenance, or repair of overhead or underground distribution lines while working primarily with motorized equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include other duties as assigned.

  • Daily drives motorized equipment, digger derricks, buckets attached to truck mounted booms, cranes, pulls trailers, runs and operates boring machine, backhoe, trencher, and other trailer mounted equipment.
  • Operates all line equipment used in construction, maintenance and removal of overhead and underground power lines.
  • Makes use of hands and fingers to work with tools.
  • Performs work in a safe manner in conformance with all applicable regulations.
