UEC is planning for electric cars on two fronts. We purchased two electric fleet vehicles in 2023 to better understand their capabilities and limitations. These vehicles have been routinely used and have been a great asset to our fleet.
UEC is also taking steps to design our electric system to handle the increased demand of EV charging on our system. UEC’s team is interested in learning about homeowners’ interests in EV charging. UEC is making plans to incorporate EV charging stations once the headquarters build is completed for charging UEC’s fleet EVs as well as some public chargers, however, at this time, we have no plans to purchase additional electric fleet vehicles.
