Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting Will Take Place Without General Membership Attendance Due to Coronavirus Risk.

Due to the coronavirus epidemic, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has urged a nationwide halt to large gatherings through the end of April.

In concern for our members’ health and well-being, Umatilla Electric Cooperative’s (UEC’s) 2020 Annual Meeting, scheduled for Saturday, April 18, will take place without the general membership in attendance.

UEC’s bylaws direct the cooperative to hold an annual meeting each spring. In lieu of our traditional event, the UEC Board President will preside at a business meeting to be held on April 18 at UEC’s Hermiston office, 750 W. Elm Avenue. At the meeting, board election results for District 5, 6, & 7 will be announced and other business conducted as necessary.

If you are a member in one of those districts, please watch for your election ballot in the mail, and return it before April 18. Candidate bios and other election details appear on pages 4-5 and pages 28-29 of the April Ruralite.

Updates on how our business practices may adapt to changing circumstances will be posted to our Facebook page and the UEC website in the coming weeks.

With best wishes for you and your families, we will do everything we can to keep our members, employees, and communities safe, while providing safe and reliable electricity to you.
