Umatilla Electric Cooperative members will soon receive their 2024 Capital Credits allocation letters in the mail.

As a not-for-profit electric cooperative, UEC allocates margins (revenue collected beyond the cost to provide electric service) back to our members each year. Your allocation amount is based on how much electricity you purchased in 2024.

This letter is not a bill or a check, but a notice of the amount allocated to your Capital Credits account for the year. These funds help support essential cooperative operations and, when financial conditions allow, are later returned to members as a cash payment or bill credit.

If your allocation is lower than previous years, it simply means the cost to serve your account exceeded the revenue from your usage. Allocations are reviewed annually and can vary from year to year.
