Clothes Washer Rebate
For the purchase of a qualifying Energy Star rated clothes washer, you can receive up to a $100 rebate from Umatilla Electric Cooperative. To qualify, the clothes washer must be Energy Star Rated and be used with an electric clothes dryer and electric hot water heater.
To receive your clothes washer rebate from Umatilla Electric, down-load the coupon at the link below and submit it by mail or in person, along with a copy of your receipt or proof of purchase. Please be sure to include your name, address, and UEC account number on the coupon, along with the brand name, model and serial number, and whether you have gas or electric dryer and water heater.

Energy Tax Credit
Premium-efficiency clothes washers may be eligible for a tax credit on your Oregon State income taxes. The credit for qualifying clothes washers ranges from $50 to $180. The specific model must be included on the Oregon Department of Energy list of qualifying premium-efficiency appliances. (See qualifying appliance lists).
Clothes washers are eligible for a tax credit depending upon their performance and energy savings above standard models. The tax credit is the amount noted for the model on the list or 25 percent of the net purchase price of the appliance, whichever is less.
