Level Two Agricultrual Irrigation Rate - Schedule 8

Available:
In all territory served by Umatilla Electric Cooperative in Umatilla, Morrow & Union Counties in Oregon.

Applicable:
To multiple-phase Agricultural Irrigation Customers that have a load size of 101 to 300 kW. Service shall be 60 cycle, alternating current at such voltage as the Cooperative has available.

Basic Charge:
$82.50 per month during March through October only.

Energy Charge:
3.94 cents per kWh    
Less 0.7 cents per kWh for usages from 10:00 pm until 6:00 am and all day Sunday.

Demand Charge:
$6.60 per kW of HLH demand * per month during the months of April through September.

BPA Rate Mitigation Product:
During May, June, July and August UEC expects to purchase a block of power from BPA for use by UEC's irrigators. UEC expects that this power will be about 0.70 cents per kWh less than BPA's other rate to UEC. Any savings that UEC receives from this BPA Rate Mitigation Product will be distributed to UEC's irrigators.

Reactive Power Factor Charge:
If the average power factor is less than 97%, a power factor penalty shall be charged as follows:
Subtract the average power factor from 97%.
Multiply the result times the maximum kW demand.*
Multiplying the result by $6.60 equals the power factor charge.
    
Harmonics Power Quality Charge:
A harmonics power quality charge may be billed by UEC Board Policy.

Franchise Taxes:
The amounts of franchise fees or taxes levied on UEC by a quasi-municipal entity will be added to the customer's bill.

Minimum Charge:
The minimum monthly charge shall be the sum of the Basic, Energy, Demand, Harmonics, Franchise Taxes, and Power Factor Charges.  A higher minimum may be required under contract to cover special conditions.

Continuing Service:
This schedule is based on continuing service at each service location. Disconnect and reconnect transactions shall not operate to relieve a Customer from minimum monthly charges.  

Regulations:
Service under this classification is subject to the General Rules and Regulations of the Cooperative.

*  Definitions:

Maximum kW Demand is measured for the 30-minute period of the account's greatest use during the billing month.
HLH Demand is the maximum monthly kW demand during the High Load Hours of 6:00 am through 10:00 pm Monday through Saturday.
